Filming for the highly anticipated upcoming season of the hit Netflix series Emily in Paris has officially commenced on Mykonos. Local media outlet Mykonos Live TV, led by journalist Petros Nazos, documented the production’s first day on location at the island’s renowned Agios Sostis Beach.
The large-scale international production has deployed a crew of approximately eighty professionals alongside dozens of background actors. Exclusive footage obtained by the network shows series star Lily Collins preparing for a scene while crew members shield her from the sun.
To protect the details of the shoot, the entire beach area has been cordoned off under tight security, with a heavy production presence controlling access to the location.
Following the massive success of Season 5, which dominated global charts with nearly 27 million views in under two weeks, series creator Darren Star has confirmed that Season 6 will take Lily Collins’ titular character to the sun-drenched shores of the Aegean and the high-octane glamour of Monaco.
The move is seen as a significant win for Greece’s efforts to establish itself as a premier global filming destination, leveraging the show’s massive international reach to boost luxury tourism.
