The 2026 Forbes World’s Billionaires list features a total of 24 Greeks, with shipping magnates once again securing the top spots.

  • Vicky Safra & Family: Maintaining her position as the wealthiest Greek, the 73-year-old ranks 94th globally with an estimated fortune of $27 billion.
  • Maria Angelicoussis: Holding second place among Greeks (509th globally), her wealth has surged to $7.5 billion, up from $5.6 billion in 2023.
  • Evangelos Marinakis: One of the year’s biggest gainers, Marinakis climbed to 567th place (from 734th in 2025). His net worth increased substantially, from $4.9 billion to $7 billion.
  • The Greek “Power Five” is completed by shipping moguls George Economou ($5.3 billion, 806th) and George Prokopiou ($4.7 billion, 908th).
