Greek-American Evangelina Kostianis, who had been reported missing from her Chicago home, has been found safe, a person who identified themselves to GreekReporter as a first cousin said. According to that individual, she was located roughly 30 hours after disappearing, though the Chicago Police Department has not yet confirmed her recovery.
The family member said that Evangelina left her home in the middle of the night and later appeared at a hospital, where she was reportedly safe and receiving care. No further details are known.
Her sudden disappearance had sparked concern among family, friends, and the local community. Kostianis was last seen leaving her Edgewater residence, prompting a search by law enforcement and appeals on social media for anyone with information. Earlier reports noted that police were actively looking into her case, but few concrete leads had emerged.
