A 63-year-old Saudi man claims he married 53 times over the past 43 years, searching for peace and stability in his life. Known as Abu Abdullah, he says his many marriages were not driven merely by personal pleasure but by a deep hope for peace and harmony.

A journey that began at the age of 20

Speaking to a Saudi media outlet, Abdullah recalled that his journey began when he married a woman six years older than himself. He got married for the first time at age 20. He hadn’t intended to marry again and felt content with his wife and children.

However, conflicts emerged, leading him to marry a second time at 23. Abdullah informed his first wife of his decision, hoping the new marriage would restore balance to his life.

Despite his efforts, even two marriages couldn’t bring him the happiness he sought. Eventually, he took on a third and fourth wife, aiming to resolve tensions among his spouses.

An emphasis on fairness and stability

Throughout his numerous marriages, Abdullah claims he has always treated each wife fairly, including those from other countries. He expressed a belief that true stability comes not with youth but with maturity.

Now, he is married to just a single woman and says he has no plans to remarry, having finally found the tranquility he had been seeking. “Every man in the world wishes to have one woman and remain with her forever,” he remarked, adding that his search for peace has come to a close.

Kenyan man with 15 wives and 107 children

In Western Kenya, a similar story has emerged with 61-year-old David Sakayo Kaluhana. He lives in a village with his 15 wives and 107 children. Kaluhana says he draws inspiration from the biblical figure King Solomon, who is believed to have had hundreds of wives and concubines.

A historian with an extensive personal library, Kaluhana believes that his vast knowledge and responsibilities require the support of many partners.

Kaluhana stated, “A head like this one of mine cannot be handled by one woman, Because it possesses a load that she alone cannot carry. That’s why I married many wives. Because I am too smart for one woman.”

Despite the challenges of managing a family of this size, Kaluhana insists that the key to their peaceful coexistence is mutual respect and shared responsibilities.

Each family member plays a role, and Kaluhana believes this collective approach strengthens their bond. His story, like Abdullah’s, reflects the unique paths of certain individuals in their pursuit of stability and happiness within their personal lives.
