This year’s Delphi Economic Forum, which attracts global attendance, will take place on April 10-13 at the historic town of Delphi, its president Symeon Tsomokos said at a press conference in Athens on Wednesday.

The ninth Delphi Economic Forum’s theme is ‘The Great Transition’, which will focus on the multifaceted transitions the world is experiencing in geopolitics, climate, technology, and several other sectors, he said.

Speeches, roundtable discussions, debates, and networking opportunities will be accessible to all attendees, to spark dialogue, inspire change, and transform conversation into action.

Over 1,000 speakers from 70 countries at the Delphi Economic Forum

As in other years, the Forum comes under the auspices of Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou, who will also inaugurate it.

Over 1,000 speakers from 70 countries are expected to attend, with world leaders including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and officials including OECD Secretary General Mathias Corman and European Commissioners, among others.

The six central thematic pillars of the Forum are Geopolitics, Planet, Sustainable Economy & Finance, Future,

People, and Education and issues of radical transitions in them. Greek issues will be well represented in thematic units (for example, health, education, business, green transition, infrastructure and real estate, among others), while there will also be a series of talks commemorating the 50th anniversary of the restoration of democracy in Greece (1974), and the 20th anniversary of the Olympics in Athens (2004).

The Forum’s schedule was designed in collaboration with major Greek and international think tanks and foundations. Some 30 think tanks and international organizations from 70 countries and 800 affiliated speakers in over 25 specialties are included on the Delphi Economic Forum’s roster of speakers.

On 10 April, the Delphi Economic Forum will also hold the Award Ceremony of the Costa Carras European Citizens Awards for the Safeguard of Endangered Heritage 2024, for which the organization is one of the founding partners.
