According to the Greek Prime Minister’s Office, the two leaders reaffirmed their mutual will to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, tourism, and culture.

Mitsotakis spoke about the positive prospects of the Greek economy after the recovery of the investment level and emphasized that Greece presents great investment opportunities, especially in energy, tourism, and the agri-food sector. It was agreed that there would soon be a business mission to Athens to explore cooperation possibilities.

The Prime Minister extended an invitation to the Emir of Qatar to visit Athens, which Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani accepted.

The situation in Gaza and the latest developments in the Middle East were also discussed. Mitsotakis pointed out the important mediating role played by Qatar for the release of hostages and peace in the region, while the Emir of Qatar expressed his appreciation for Greece’s initiatives and role in the region.
