The Chicago-born star, whose name at birth was Panayiota Karamouzis, so named by her Greek parents, released her book, Dream On…Now Deliver: The no nonsense guide to achieving success in the entertainment industry, earlier this month.

In this comprehensive guide to breaking into the industry and thriving in it, published by The Three Tomatoes Publishing company, Patricia Kara shares her hard-earned wisdom from three decades of working in the entertainment business. This has included starring with Howie Mandel on all three versions of the iconic show Deal or no Deal.

One of the star’s most important pieces of wisdom is to teach people that they “are a business.” With no initial connections, limited resources, and no internet in the early days of her career, Patricia Kara relied on sheer determination and instincts to make it in the competitive entertainment field.

Patricia Kara has been working in the entertainment business for more than thirty years as an actress, model, spokesperson, and television personality. She returned to primetime television, joining Howie Mandel, as one of the stars of the new Deal or No Deal on CNBC.

Patricia Kara and Howie Mandel are the only cast members to appear on all three versions of the hit show. Including NBC’s original Deal or No Deal (Primetime and Daytime editions), she appeared in America’s Got Talent, Extra, Access Hollywood, Fox Movie Channel, and People Magazine‘s ’10 Most Beautiful People’.

Patricia Kara has been a guest host on HSN. She released a workout video entitled Fast Fitness, was featured in the Trace Adkins’ music video Marry for Money, and launched Dish With Trish, an online food and culture production.
