Newly unsealed documents show that Jeffrey Epstein’s defense team used a witness’ claims about the billionaire keeping sex tapes against her.

In a fresh spate of released court documents surrounding Jeffrey Epstein and a number of rich and famous faces, claims brought up by Sarah Ransome, who says she was a victim of Epstein, have resurfaced.

Jeffrey Epstein Trial Witness’ Email Content

According to Sky News, Ransome wrote in emails to a reporter in 2016 outlining claims that Prince Andrew of the United Kingdom, former US President Bill Clinton and billionaire businessman Richard Branson were filmed having sex with her unnamed friends on separate occasions by the pedophile US financier.

The messages re-emerged in the latest tranche of documents released by the US court in connection with a 2015 defamation claim brought by Virginia Giuffre, an American-Australian campaigner who was trafficked by Epstein when she was a teenager, against British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell.

The Guardian reported that Ransome’s claims were flagged by a firm representing Epstein’s lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, to show that she “manifestly lacks credibility.” According to The Guardian, the court was not given any proof of the existence of any tapes, and the claims were withdrawn by Ransome soon after they were initially made.

She also leveled some very serious allegations against former US President Donald Trump. The latest slew of court documents were released after a US judge ordered for them to be unsealed as part of Giuffre’s previously settled claim against Maxwell, The Guardian reported. Images were also made public, including one of Maxwell with Jeffrey Epstein’s associate and disgraced French model scout Jean Luc-Brunel, along with several girls posing for photos.

As reported by The Guardian, the email extracts from Ransome in 2016 said: “When my friend had sexual intercourse with Clinton, Prince Andrew and Richard Branson, sex tapes were in fact filmed on each separate occasion by Jeffrey. Thank God she managed to get a hold of some footage of the filmed sex tapes, which clearly identify the faces of Clinton, Prince Andrew and Branson having sexual intercourse with her.”

“Frustratingly enough Epstein was not seen in any of the footage but he was clever like that,” wrote Ransome.

“When my friend eventually had the courage to speak out and went to the police in 2008 to report what had happened, nothing was done and she was utterly humiliated by the police department where she went to report what had happened with Epstein, Clinton, Branson and Prince Andrew,” she added.

A Virgin Group spokesperson said: “In a New Yorker report published in 2019, Ransome admitted that she had “invented” the tapes. We can confirm that Sarah Ransome’s claims are baseless and unfounded.”

In the dismissive letter from Emery Celli Brinckerhoff & Abady LLP to the court, the law firm said the accusations against Dershowitz were totally false, according to The Guardian. The paper reported that the law firm’s letter said Ransome’s “testimony was fabricated from whole cloth. Ms. Ransome’s testimony also contains a slew of other incendiary claims concerning the sexual proclivities of Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and other prominent individuals.”

“The emails are a necessary antidote to Ms. Ransome’s deposition misstatements because they demonstrate she manifestly lacks credibility,” it was claimed.
