Is Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo Getting Married?

With her latest Instagram post, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s family-oriented girlfriend, Mariah Riddlesprigger, has given air to the rumor that the couple is planning to marry.

Californian Riddlesprigger, who has been romantically involved with the Greek Freak since the mid-2010s, posted a suggestive video on her Instagram this morning which showed her and three friends toasting with champagne flutes in a wedding dress store.

The caption read “life lately” and was met with a torrent of congratulatory comments and likes. Comments included “The First Lady of the Milwaukee Bucks,” “Shopping for a wedding dress,” and “Getting married soon.”

Confirmation as to whose wedding is being prepared for has not been given, and the post may very well be about one of Riddlesprigger’s friends. Fans are now eagerly awaiting further information.

Antetokounmpo’s Family Life and Rumors He’s Getting Married

Antetokounmpo, a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, is known for the emphasis he puts on family values. He is often spotted spending time with his three brothers, who are also professional basketball players.

He frequently references his family during interviews, and his signature Nike shoes also proffer design elements which serve as a tribute to his family.

Riddlesprigger comes from Fresno, California, where she completed her high school education at Bullard High School. In 2014, she graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas with a degree in sport management and sociology.

She interned at the NBA Summer League for two consecutive years during her college years. After graduating, she took on a position as a basketball operations intern with the Philadelphia 76ers.

The pair welcomed their first child, a son named Liam, in 2017. Their family grew with the arrival of their second son, Maverick, in 2021. Earlier this year, they welcomed their third child, a daughter named Eva. The couple also hinted at their engagement earlier this year, but no official announcement was made by either of them.

During a press conference to promote their charity work for Milwaukee’s Diaper Mission in September, the seven-time NBA All-Star said: “Soon I’m going to be married to this beautiful woman next to me.”

Antetokounmpo was born on December 6, 1994 to Charles Antetokounmpo, who had been a football player, and Veronica Antetokounmpo, who had been involved in high jumping when she was younger.

There are five siblings in the Antetokounmpo family—four brothers and one sister. Of the four brothers who all play professional basketball, three have secured NBA championships.

The second oldest sibling, Thanasis, is Giannis’ teammate on the Bucks and secured the 2021 NBA title alongside him. Kostas also played in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers.
