When the most popular street foods of two of the world’s most celebrated cuisines meet, the result is a dish of mouth-watering Churrasco-Style Gyros Street Tacos.
The concept is as simple as it is ingenious. You just replace the usual pita bread wrap of gyros with tortillas to create Mexican tacos with a Greek gyros filling, similar to Churrasco.
The fresh Chimichurri sauce perfectly complements the spicy taste of the slow-cooked meat and is also loaded with good-for-you benefits, such as calcium, carotenes, iron, and vitamins A and C.

Ingredients and Preparation
6 oz KronoBROIL® Beef & Lamb Gyros Slices
3 each Kronos 4” Grilled Thin Flatbread or tortillas
1 Tbsp Chimichurri Sauce*
¼ oz Thinly Sliced Pickled Red Onion
1 Tsp Grated Feta or Cotija Cheese
For the Chimichurri sauce:
1 Bunch Fresh Italian Parsley
1 Cup Fresh Basil Leaves
1 Cup Fresh Cilantro Leaves
1 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
¼ Cup Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
¼ Cup Champagne Vinegar
1 Tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
1 Tsp Kosher Salt
½ Cup (reserved) – Finely Diced Spanish Onion
Warm the grilled flatbreads on a 325˚F griddle.
Heat the KronoBROIL® Gyros Slices in the oven, microwave, or on a flattop grill.
Fill the Flatbreads with the heated Gyros Slices and top with Chimichurri Sauce.
Top with pickled onion and grated Feta or Cotija cheese.
For the Chimichurri Sauce, in a blender or food processor add fresh parsley, fresh garlic, fresh cilantro, fresh basil, EVOO, fresh lime juice, champagne vinegar, crushed red pepper flakes, and salt.
Process until emulsified.
Add finely diced Spanish (white) onion to this mixture.
