James Franco seems to have made Greece his second home as he was spotted at a concert by Greek pop singer Anna Vissi on Wednesday in Athens.
The American actor and filmmaker who shot to fame with the Spider-Man trilogy was among the concert-goers at the Alsos Theater where Vissi gave her last open concert of the season.
Vissi welcomed Franco in English and dedicated one of her favorite songs to the 44-year-old actor. After the concert, they posed for a selfie.
James Franco in love with Greece’s Mykonos
In June Franco was spotted enjoying the nightlife of the cosmopolitan Greek island of Mykonos for the fourth consecutive year.
He spent part of his vacation in Mykonos together with his 29-year-old girlfriend, Isabel Pakzad.
The Oscar-nominated and two-time Golden Globe winner was spotted by Mykonos Live TV at the Lio nightclub in Matogiannia despite wearing a hood. The video shows Franco briefly taking off the hood to pose for a selfie with a fan.
Anna Vissi among Greece’s best-selling artists
Over the course of her career, Anna Vissi has released more than two dozen albums, most of which have been certified at least gold in the two countries and has also starred in three theatrical productions and briefly ventured into television and radio.
Vissi experimented with different styles of music; after becoming one of the first Greek artists to introduce Western pop and dance elements into Greek laïko and entehno, she became one of the most prominent portrayers of the laïko-pop hybrid genre and culture that was thriving from the mid-1990s into the mid-2000s.
The Greek-Cypriot artist has become one of the country’s best-selling artists of all time, having sold over 10 million records worldwide, and is one of Greece’s top-earning artists.
