Eva Mendes, Ryan Gosling, and their two daughters were spotted enjoying a stroll on the cosmopolitan island of Antiparos earlier this week.
Mendes began dating Gosling shortly before they starred together in The Place Beyond the Pines. They have two daughters, Esmeralda Amada, born in 2014, and Amada Lee, born in 2016.
The Hollywood pair have chosen the Greek island for their vacation gateway. Mykonoslive-tv reports that the family is keeping a low profile on Antiparos.
Mendes was described as among most beautiful Latin women
The 48-year-old Mendes has been described by world media as one of the world’s most beautiful Latin women, and she has often been considered a sex symbol.
She once embraced that status, saying it was “partially self-created […] I think at times I play up my sexiness. And there’s times where I don’t,” though she does not let it interfere with her film work: “I like it when it doesn’t limit my career. It’s a part of my life, but on a secondary plane.”
Mendes’s performance in Training Day (2001) marked a turning point in her career and led to parts in the commercially successful films 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) and Hitch (2005). She starred in Ghost Rider (2007) and The Spirit (2008), both film adaptations of comics, and ventured into more dramatic territory with We Own the Night (2007), Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (2009), Last Night (2010), and The Place Beyond the Pines (2012). Her other films include Out of Time (2003), The Women (2008), The Other Guys (2010), and Girl in Progress (2012).
Mendes has appeared in several music videos for artists like Will Smith and has also been an ambassador for brands, including Calvin Klein, Cartier, Reebok, Pantene shampoo, Morgan and Peek & Cloppenburg.
Mendes has not appeared in a film since 2014.
Gosling’s movie career
Canadian actor Ryan Gosling has been prominent in independent film, but he is also credited for his work in blockbuster films of varying genres and has accrued a worldwide box office gross of over 1.9 billion USD.
Throughout his three-decade career, he has received various accolades, including a Golden Globe Award and an Independent Spirit Award. He has also received nominations for two Academy Awards, a British Academy Film Award and four Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Gosling gained wider recognition and stardom for the 2004 romance film The Notebook. Gosling followed that by starring in a string of critically acclaimed independent dramas including Half Nelson (2006), for which he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor, Lars and the Real Girl (2007), and Blue Valentine (2010).
Gosling co-starred in three mainstream films in 2011, the romantic comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love, the political drama The Ides of March, and the action drama Drive, all of which were critical and commercial successes.
He also starred in the acclaimed financial satire The Big Short (2015) and the romantic musical La La Land (2016), the latter of which won him the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor and a second Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
Further acclaim followed with the science fiction thriller Blade Runner 2049 (2017) and the biopic First Man (2018).
