Tiffany Trump, the youngest daughter of former president Donald Trump, announced her engagement to businessman Michael Boulos in January 2021. Boulos and Trump’s whirlwind love affair has been years in the making.
“It has been an honor to celebrate many milestones, historic occasions and create memories with my family here at the White House, none more special than my engagement to my amazing fiancé Michael! Feeling blessed and excited for the next chapter!” Trump wrote in her engagement announcement on Instagram.
The pair were spotted for the first time in January 2018 while out dining in London. Rumors began to pick up steam when they attended the Taoray Wang fashion show together a few months later in March. They then spent the summer of 2018 partying at Lindsay Lohan’s club in Mykonos, a destination they would return to repeatedly as Greece became the backdrop for their love affair. The couple have been official since Thanksgiving 2018, when Trump brought Boulos to meet her family at their celebration in Mar-a-Lago.
While Trump, a recent graduate of Georgetown University’s law center and member of one of America’s most visible families, is no stranger to the public eye, this may be the first time you’ve heard of her fiancé, Boulos. Despite having a less recognizable surname than Trump, his family definitely holds their own amongst the real estate mogul’s dynasty.
Boulos is the heir to a billion dollar fortune. Boulos’ Lebanese family immigrated to Nigeria in 1936 and founded Boulos Enterprises, which later became the conglomerate SCOA Nigeria. The company, specializing in motorcycles, power bikes, tricycles, and outboard motors, dominates the distribution and manufacturing of motorsport vehicles across Africa. The conglomerate later expanded into furniture, interior design, and energy.
Boulos grew up in Nigeria and went on to attend college at the Regent’s University London, where he got his degree in global business management. At nineteen, Boulos became the associate director of SCOA Nigeria.
Tiffany Trump and her fiancé, Michael Boulos, fell in love in Greece
Boulos has frequently whisked Trump away to Greece throughout their relationship with Mykonos being a favorite spot for the couple, as they spent the early days of their courtship together on the island. Boulos first discovered Greece as a teenager, travelling to Mykonos’ Psarou beach and partying on yachts in the Mediterranean. Both Trump and Boulos love the vibrant nightlife on the Greek islands but also savor the romance of the country’s historical sites, including the Parthenon in Athens, where they were photographed on their most recent trip.
Sources say that Trump and Boulos want their wedding to be a spectacle, an event fit for their family names. A source close to the two told Page Six that “Tiffany has been waiting to plan a very big wedding. Her fiancé is from a very wealthy family, she is from a very wealthy family, and they want all their friends from around the world to be there.”
Although the couple have bonded over a passion for partying, vacations, and glamour, they’ve proven that they’re equally as engaged with taking up the mantle of their family’s prestige. They also support each other’s endeavor’s publicly, too: when Trump graduated from Georgetown’s law school last year, one of the top ranked, ultra competitive law schools in the nation, Boulos posted a congratulatory message on Instagram lauding his future fiancé:
“Congratulations Tiffy!” Boulos wrote. “You’ve come a long way to get to this point and after all the hard work and sleepless nights, you more than deserve it, it’s only the beginning now, love you honey and congrats again.”
Trump is the only child from her father’s marriage to second wife with actress and model Marla Maples. Maples began her relationship with the former President while he was still married to his first wife, Ivana, with which he had children Ivanka, Donald Jr., and Eric. Maples and Trump Sr. were married in 1993, the same year her daughter was born, but quickly divorced in 1999. The youngest Trump daughter grew up with her mother in Calabasas, California.
Both Maples and her daughter are incredibly active on social media. Maples, who follows a strict vegan diet, often posts about health and wellness, sharing recipes and yoga routines with her followers. Her daughter’s social media presence is notorious for featuring the progeny of the Kennedys and the Matisses, an elite generation dubbed by the press as “the Snap Pack,” and “the rich kids of Instagram.”
