A huge Greek flag was on display in Abu Dhabi as the United Arab Emirates welcomed an official visit of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Tuesday.
The Greek Premier, who is accompanied by several ministers from his government, met with the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
PM Mitsotakis aims to strengthen and deepen Greece’s ties with the Arab country, which recently reached a groundbreaking agreement to establish diplomatic relations with Israel.
A Strategic Partnership Declaration will be signed as well as a Cooperation Agreement in the fields of foreign policy and defense which will validate the common views that Athens and Abu Dhabi have on the common challenges they face at the regional level.
