Greece Announces 339 New Coronavirus Cases; Two Deaths

The Greek health authorities announced that there have been a total of 339 new cases of the coronavirus detected in the country in the last 24 hours as well as two deaths associated with the virus.
The median age of the citizens who succumbed with the virus was 78 years, and 96.6% had some underlying disease and/or were age 70 years and over.
The coronavirus death toll now, according to the EODY, is 327 for the country. The number of intubated patients in ICUs across Greece is 71, an increase of two since yesterday. The median age of these individuals is 69 years and just 20 are female.
Health officials state that 87.3% of intubated patients suffer from an underlying disease or are 70 years of age or older.
The EODY stated that 64 of the new cases detected today were associated with known outbreaks and 39 were detected at the country’s border points and entry gates.
The total number of positive coronavirus cases in Greece since the beginning of hte pandemic, including all those who have recovered, now stands at 14,738; just over half, or 55.7%, of these individuals, have been male. A total of 177 patients have been discharged from ICUs since that time.
Relatively few, just 17.2%, of the total cases since the beginning of the outbreak are considered related to travel from abroad and 6,191 are related to an already-recorded case.
