Refugee Camp in Malakasa Quarantined After Afghan Migrant Tests Positive for Coronavirus

A refugee and migrant camp in Malakasa, Attica was quarantined on Sunday morning according to Greek authorities.
The decision was taken after a 53-year old Afghan national, tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus.
The patient was transferred to a hospital in Athens.
The patient’s family has been put into isolation and there is an ongoing effort to see if anyone else from the camp has contracted the virus.
For the next fourteen days, no entry or exit from the camp is allowed, while the Greek police have increased their presence to enforce the measure.
This is the second refugee and migrant camp in Greece to be put into quarantine, after that of Ritsona on the island of Euboea (Evia).
New Cases 
Meanwhile, Greek authorities announced on Sunday afternoon that 62 more people have been diagnosed with the virus.
The total number of cases is now 1,735.
Additionally, five more people have died from the COVID-19 coronavirus, raising the total death toll to 73.
