New Clashes Erupt in Evros; Migrants Throw Petrol Bombs Over to Greek Side

Fresh clashes erupted at the Greek-Turkish border in Evros on Wednesday evening, when migrants set fires, threw Molotov cocktails over to the Greek side and tried once again to pull the border fence down.
Greek and combined European forces which are operating in the area, guarding Europe’s external border, responded with tear gas and attempted to keep the fence intact from the aggressive actions of the migrants.
It is still unclear whether the situation has now calmed down or not, but it is obvious that the Turkish side is not attempting to do what is needed to contain the throngs of migrants at the gates of Europe.
In the meantime, a total of 348 people have been arrested so far in Evros and the unlawful entry into Greece has been prevented in 44.353 cases.
