Dolce & Gabbana succeeded in making a jaw-dropping difference with their new fashion show.

This time the show was based on ancient Greek culture. The fashion runway was surrounded by columns, while models were wearing laurel wreaths and embroidered bands, giving the audience a sense of seeing the Greek Gods in front of them, leaving them amazed.

Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda Fashion Show took place at the Temple of Concordia, an ancient Greek temple in the southern Sicilian town Valle dei Templi in Agrigento. This monument is part of Italy’s cultural heritage, and because of this, it took two years for the city’s mayor to be convinced to allow for the UNESCO World Heritage site to be transformed into a fashion runway.

The show started at 8pm and the scene was set with an orchestra of women harpists dressed as Vestal Virgins. The golden light of dusk fell on the temple’s columns and caught the mesmerizing Greek scenery.

As the sky turned pink, models walked down the runway in fashion statements that honored the Ancient Greek roots of the Italian island. Female models wore Greek Goddess, inspired dresses matched with gold leather sandals and metal accessories, while the men, wore white robes, with golden archery equipment and golden sandals. Each dress was named after a Greek muse.
