A U.S. flagged yacht sailing in the Gulf of Patras carrying 71 migrants, was stopped by authorities in western Greece on Wednesday.
The yacht is believed to have been attempting to smuggle the migrants to Italy.
The vessel was stopped following a tip-off and authorities have announced that foreign citizens, agedĀ 25 and 27-years-old, were arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle the migrants.
There was no further information available about the nationality the migrants.
