Deal for Refugee Returns to Greece by End of July, Germany says

Berlin says that an agreement with Greece for the return of refugees currently in Germany will be completed by the end of July.
German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen suggested that such a deal with Greece may be signed by the end of the month, according to a Kathimerini newspaper report.
At the same time, Interior Minister Horst Seehofer said that mass returns of migrants from Germany will take place if there is no bilateral agreement with Greece.
Seehofer told Der Spiegel magazine that it is not a good strategy not to have bilateral deals and that Germany will start returning migrants reaching its border if the situation is not rectified.
Von der Leyen, however, expressed her conviction that a bilateral agreement with Greece was a matter of time, and that other European countries might follow the example.
“We want an agreement with Greece by the end of the month,” she told the Funke publishing group.
