Greek Teachers Fined for Illicit Recording of Supervisor

Still from the controversial video

A Greek court in Rhodes has imposed stiff fines on two teachers for recording a verbal exchange with their supervisor against his will.
The court ordered the two teachers to pay a 1,000 ($1,224) fine each plus legal expenses adding up to several thousand euros.
The case was brought to light in 2016, following a lawsuit by Ioannis Papadomarkakis, the head of secondary education in the Greek island.
He accused the two female teachers of storming into his office demanding explanations on a professional dispute.
The court heard that the two teachers started videoing the heated exchange with their mobile phones despite the fact that he explicitly demanded they stopped recording.
