Special Event to Promote Greek Wine in Sweden Taking Place in June

An initiative to promote Greek wines in Sweden is underway and the Greek embassy of Stockholm has organized an event to take place this spring.

On Tuesday the embassy’s office of Economic and Commercial Affairs said that an event scheduled for June 9 will be taking place thanks to an initiative to spark interest  in the topic by Swedish wine writer Bjorn Peter Behrens, who is also specialist in oenology.

They have a long list of invites that range from Swedish importers of alcoholic beverages who already are in the business of importing Greek wine as well as oenologists, journalists, and representatives from companies and restaurants, according to ANA-MPA.

In the past Behrens has organized trips to Greece focusing on wine tourism and has even published a book about Greek wines in Swedish.
