Fears that Turkish Coup Instigators Are in South Aegean

fregata_elikoptThere are reports that two Turkish inflatable boats with an unconfirmed number of passengers have made their way to the Greek border island of Symi. The Greek side has been carefully monitoring the two dinghies making their way to Greece and are particularly concerned as to whether the passengers are officials involved in the failed military coup attempt that took place on Friday.
Sources originally referred to 40 passengers, whereas a helicopter hovered over the two boats in order to further investigate the issue. Greek rocket vessel, Votsis, is also in the area.
Greek defense mechanisms swung into place at the Greek Pentagon where unconfirmed sources report that there have been two arrests made, however, the Turks in custody at Taviri, Symi, have yet to be identified.
Other sources point to other coup instigators across from Symi, at the region of Datsa, waiting to cross over. The region is near Marmaris where an assassination attack against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was made at the resort where he was vacationing.
