Actor Simon Callow is best known for his portrayal of Garter in the British comedic film Four Weddings and a Funeral.
The 67-year-old film actor bit the bullet as he married his 33-year-old partner, management consultant Sebastian Fox, in a private wedding ceremony on Mykonos last Monday.
Thankfully his wedding went off without a hitch, unlike the film that has made him so famous.
His new husband is German, but Callow’s love of history and politics played a major role in influencing a venue for the nuptials.
“I just love it there. But it is also a very conscious decision to embrace a civilization and culture, one of the very few instances where homosexuality was an actual integrated part of society,” he said, according to dailymail.co.uk.
“It’s wonderful to make such a great commitment, such a great affirmation of love, in that almost innocent landscape. That pure world.”
