Dijsselbloem: Extension of Greek Program Remains Open

DijsselbloemEurogroup president Jeroen Dijsselbloem on Monday stated that “the issue of the extension of the Greek program remains open.”
At a press question whether a six-month extension will be given to the Greece ‘s program, he answered that the extension depends on the progress that has been succeeded in the implementation of the programme, adding that the troika will brief the eurozone’s Finance ministers.
Dijsselbloem also said that it must be decided if the Greek program is possible to “close” at the end of the year or an extension will be necessary “The issue remains open,” he stated.
However, the head of the Eurogroup expressed his concern on the strict timetables over an agreement between the Greek government and the troika saying that all involved sides should try to proceed quickly with the negotiations until the end of the year.
