Journey to Underwater Greece

seaEleftherios Venizelos airport will host a photographic journey into the underwater world of Greece. The exhibition entitled, “Journey to Underwater Greece,” is an initiative of Athens international airport and the NGO Ydronaftes (aquanauts).
The aim is to present to the public the beauty of underwater Greece. At the same time this “dive” into a largely hidden world, hopes to raise public awareness of the need to conserve and protect this part of the Greek natural environment.
The exhibition begins on Monday, January 13, and runs until April 30, 2014. It will be located in the area, “Environment & Culture,” on the departures level of the airport and will be open to the public all day long.
The NGO Ydronaftes was founded in 2010 by a group involved in environmental activities throughout Greece, focusing in particular on the underwater world.
