A woman whose identity was unknown was killed and dismembered after she was run over by a passing passenger train near Thessaloniki Train Station early in the morning of Aug. 8, authorities said.
The tragic accident happened at 12:50 after midnight, at the bridge of St Monastirion, in the region of Mitilinakia, few minutes before the train, coming from Edessa, reached the station.
As it is so far known, the unfortunate woman was walking and, probably because of the darkness, was not noticed by the driver of the train, resulting in her being run over. Police are still investigating.
