IFC Midnight has acquired US distribution rights for Athens-born filmmaker Dennis Iliadis’ latest, “+1,” according to Deadline.

The thriller premiered at SXSW and stars Rhys Wakefield, Logan Miller, Ashley Hinshaw and Natalie Hall. With a story from Iliadis that was scripted by Bill Gullo, the plot centers on three college friends who go to the biggest party of the year, each looking for something different: love, sex and a simple human connection. When a supernatural phenomenon disrupts the party, it lights a fuse on what will become the strangest night anyone has ever seen. As the friends struggle to find what they’re looking for, the party quickly descends into a chaos that challenges if they can stay friends or if they can even stay alive.

Iliadis is best known for his work on the 2009 crime thriller “The Last House on the Left.” His other credits include the Greek short, “Proini Ptosi,” “Ole,” and the feature, “Hardcore.”

No word yet from IFC Midnight on when or where the film, also known as “Plus One,” will play.
