Speculation is growing that President Donald Trump may have a UFO speech ready, waiting to be delivered at a moment of his choosing.
The claim comes from Lara Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law, who said on the New York Post’s “Pod Force One” podcast that she had heard Trump has such a speech prepared and plans to deliver it when the time is right.
She added that the subject involves extraterrestrial life. Lara Trump also raised the possibility on her own show, The Right View, where she cited online chatter about a potential announcement.
She told the podcast host that she and her husband, Eric Trump, had tried to press the president for answers, but he played coy, refusing to confirm or deny what he knows. That evasiveness, she said, only made them more curious.
UFO claims circulate without verified evidence
Before Lara Trump’s remarks, British ufologist Mark Christopher Lee had already been circulating similar claims. Lee told a news magazine that a Washington insider informed him Trump had prepared a historic address covering extraterrestrial visitation and recovered non-human materials.
Lee proposed July 8 as a possible date, citing its significance as the anniversary of the 1947 Roswell, New Mexico incident, one of the most widely discussed alleged UFO events in American history.
He acknowledged the announcement could come sooner. Later, Lee provided no evidence and declined to identify his source.
Trump’s UFO speech remains unconfirmed as White House stays silent
The wider conversation gained momentum after former President Barack Obama said during a podcast appearance that aliens are real. Obama later clarified on Instagram that he was speaking statistically about the likelihood of life existing elsewhere in the universe and said he saw no evidence of extraterrestrial contact during his presidency.
Documentary filmmaker Dan Farah, whose film “The Age of Disclosure” examines alleged government cover-ups of non-human intelligence, told Entertainment Weekly he believes a sitting president will eventually confirm humanity is not alone.
The White House has not responded to the speculation. Trump stated publicly in 2024 that he was never a UFO believer, casting doubt on the rumors.
