Following her triumphant and emotional US Open victory, Aryna Sabalenka is taking a step back from the tennis court to recharge in Greece. The world No. 1 has been openly embracing her time off, sharing a glimpse of her romantic Greek getaway on Instagram.
The 27-year-old took to Instagram to express her love for Greece, sharing a series of photos from her recent trip. She posted a series of photos from her vacation, which included a tender moment with her boyfriend, Giorgos Fragoulis, sharing a kiss.
Other images show Sabalenka enjoying the picturesque Greek scenery in a red bikini and exploring historical sites such as the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion.
Due to a “small injury” sustained at the US Open, Sabalenka announced her withdrawal from this week’s China Open, a WTA 1000 event in Beijing. Her focus is now on recovery and preparing for the rest of the season, including the WTA Finals in Riyadh, for which she has already qualified.
Her boyfriend, Giorgos Fragoulis, a Brazilian businessman with Greek parents, has been a supportive presence by her side. He has also spoken candidly about the emotional toll of watching her compete, admitting, “The toughest part is being in the box. It’s one of the most stressful situations I’ve ever experienced.”
