A man from Tanzania who has allegedly died and come back to life six times continues to spark confusion, fear, and fascination in his local community. His name is Ismail Azizi, and according to a recent documentary, his repeated returns from the dead have made him both a symbol of mystery and a subject of social rejection.

A year later, while working on a farm, he was bitten by a snake. With no immediate medical help available, the venom spread quickly. By the time he was taken to a doctor, he was already unresponsive and declared dead, according to the documentary.
His body was kept in a morgue for three days, longer than any previous time. When family and friends arrived to retrieve his remains for burial, they found him alive once more. The extended time in the morgue made this incident especially alarming to those who witnessed it.
Fall into a pit
