Renowned for their ominous forecasts, the so-called prophets of doom, mystic Baba Vanga and famed astrologer Nostradamus, have shared their predictions for the year 2025—and the outlook is far from encouraging
Vangelia Pandeva Gushterova, popularly known as Baba Vanga, was born in 1911 and had alleged prophetic abilities.
Blind since childhood, the Bulgarian clairvoyant was able to see into the future, “powers” she attributed to a tornado that left her blind. These abilities first brought her to public attention amid World War II, and individuals like Bulgarian Tsar Boris III and Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev reportedly consulted her in person.
She died in 1996 and has since become a cult figure among believers of soothsaying – and conspiracy theorists. Even though the mystic is no more, she made predictions for every year up until 5079.
Baba Vanga’s predictions for 2025
Here is what she said about 2025:
We’ll finally meet aliens. The existence of extraterrestrial life has been a topic of debate for centuries, but according to Baba Vanga, 2025 will be the year we finally make contact.
The mystic predicts this encounter will occur under unusual circumstances, with the first introduction expected to take place during a major sporting event.
In the coming year, researchers are set to unlock the secrets of mind reading, making significant strides in understanding the complexities of the human mind, according to Vanga. This could potentially allow people to communicate using only their brainwaves.
After a turbulent 2024 filled with storms, hurricanes, floods and wildfires, Vanga predicts that destructive earthquakes and natural disasters will wreak havoc across the globe in 2025. She specifically mentions an earthquake along the US West Coast, which she believes will result in loss of life, mass displacement and destroyed infrastructure.
On the bright side, Vanga believes that scientists will finally crack the code on immortality in 2025. While lab-grown tissues are already a reality, she predicts that lab-grown organs will become a reality next year, revolutionizing transplants and potentially extending or saving human lives.
She also foresees progress in cancer treatment, and possibly even a cure, by 2025.

Nostradamus 2025 Predictions
Nostradamus, was a 16th-century astrologer, plague doctor, accused heretic and bearded seer who has been credited with foretelling the Great Fire of London, Hitler’s rise to power, the Sept. 11 attacks, the COVID-19 pandemic, and last year’s New Years Day earthquake, to name a few.
For 2025 he predicted that financial ruin and exhausted resources could spell the end of an ongoing armed conflict which many assume is a reference to the current war between Russia and Ukraine.
He predicted that England will be beset by “cruel wars” and will face an “ancient plague” that will be “worse than enemies.”
Nostradamus also predicted that in the dark days to come, the trajectory of a gigantic asteroid with the emo handle ‘Harbinger of Fate’ will get dangerously close to colliding with Earth.
“From the cosmos, a fireball will rise, A harbinger of fate, the world pleads. Science and fate in a cosmic dance, The fate of the Earth, a second chance.”
Apocalyptic tides will give rise to the Aquatic Empire in 2025:
“From the depths, a ruler will rise, In the midst of floods reaching to the skies. Empires will fall, and new waves will reign, The Aquatic Empire, from the realm of the ocean.”
Many people believe their predictions
Many people believe in the predictions of figures like Baba Vanga and Nostradamus due to a combination of psychological, cultural, and historical factors.
Both are credited with having made predictions that seem to align with significant historical events. For instance, Nostradamus’s cryptic quatrains are said to have foretold events like the French Revolution or the rise of Adolf Hitler, while Baba Vanga is believed to have predicted events such as the September 11 attacks. Such perceived successes lend their prophecies credibility in the eyes of many.
