Kate Middleton on Saturday made her first public event appearance since Christmas Service, 2023, and the March video announcement of her cancer diagnosis that shocked Britain and the world.
The Princess of Wales attended the King’s Trooping the Colour ceremony, dressed in a navy-inspired white outfit with black and white details.
The mother-of-three appeared to be in good spirits, smiling and waving to royal fans as she arrived for the ceremony with her children in a horse-drawn carriage down the Mall.
They were later united with Prince William as the young family of five joined King Charles III and Queen Camilla on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for the ceremonial event.

Princess of Wales attends Trooping the Colour amidst cancer treatment
A senior member of the British royal family and one of the hardest working royals, Kate Middleton cancelled all her official engagements in 2024 in order to be able to complete her cancer treatment and recover in full privacy.
Following months of public speculation about her health, Kate Middleton only revealed on Friday that she would be attending Trooping the Colour.
“I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet,” the British Princess wrote on X.
She said she was learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty: “Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal.”
Her father-in-law, King Charles III, was also diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer in early 2024, and has been receiving treatment.
The Trooping the Colour Parade is an annual tradition of the British monarchy that marks the sovereign’s official birthday.
Kate Middleton thanks fans for continued support during cancer treatment
In her long post on social media platform X, Kate Middleton declared “blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement.”
The Princess of Wales reassured her followers that she is making good progress, “but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days.”
“On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well,” she described.
Although her treatment is ongoing, and will be for a few more months, Kate Middleton on the days she feels well enough, engages with school life, spends personal time on the things that give her energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home.
