Global pop star Kylie Minogue wowed on-lookers at the grand opening of a resort near Athens on the Greek Riviera on Friday.
The 56-year-old Australian-born singer turned heads in a black and white sequined gown as she arrived to the opening of One and Only Aesthesis.
Kylie was later spotted with famed Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall. The pair posed together at the Manko Athens restaurant, which was celebrating its opening night of the resort.
The singer has been back on the global music scene following the breakout hit “Padam Padam” from her sixteenth studio album Tension.
Kylie Minogue spotted at Coldplay concert in Athens
Kylie Minogue was later spotted at a concert by Coldplay in the Olympic Stadium in Athens. She joined over 50,000 music fans who gathered at the stadium for the first of two concerts by Coldplay on Saturday and Sunday.
The concerts by the famous rock band have created a wave of enthusiasm in the Greek capital. Reports say hundreds have defied the heat to queue up since the early hours of Saturday outside the stadium. Some even spent the previous night in sleeping bags and deck chairs.
Netflix documentary for Minogue?
Kylie Minogue has reportedly signed a seven-figure deal with Netflix on Saturday for a fly-on-the-wall documentary.
The singer, who is currently enjoying some downtime in Greece, has reportedly been locked in a bidding war with streaming giants for months.
However, Netflix bosses have beat rivals Apple+ and Disney to the punch, as they reportedly now have the rights to Kylie’s story, and filming is expected to start later this year, according to reports.
A source told The Mirror: “There was a serious bidding war over this. Kylie’s had an incredible life, from starring in Neighbours to becoming a pop icon and still dominating the charts decades later.
“She has a massive fan base so there’s no question it will attract a huge audience,” it was said. “That’s why the offers went so high—everyone’s very excited.”
After her stint in Neighbours, she went on to become the Princess of Pop and had record sales of more than 80 million. She has also released 16 albums, and seven of those have been No.1s including last year’s Tension, with racy hit single “Padam Padam.”
Following the success of her album Tension, Kylie then started up her first concert residency at The Venetian Hotel’s Voltaire in Las Vegas. In December, she filmed ITV’s An Audience with Kylie at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
