Hollywood actor Christian Oliver, who had a role in the new Indiana Jones movie, was confirmed to have been killed in a plane crash in the Caribbean.

Hollywood Actor Christian Oliver Died Alongside Two Daughters

The German-born actor, who had starred in major Hollywood movies such as Speed Racer and Valkyrie, died alongside his two daughters, Madita, aged ten, and Annik, aged twelve, as their plane nose dived and crashed into the sea off of Bequia, an island in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). The plane’s pilot and owner, American Robert Sachs, also lost his life.

Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force said the single-engine plane had just taken off from the tiny island after midday Thursday, January 4th. It was bound for the island nation of St. Lucia sixty-five miles to the north.

The BBC reported that all four victims had been recovered from the sea by the SVG Coast Guard, and they have been transported to St. Vincent where post-mortem examinations will be carried out.

The Hollywood actor, 51, whose real name was Christian Klepser, first began to appear on screens with a long-standing role in Saved by the Bell: The New Class in the early nineties. He also had appeared as a character in the video game Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond.

Oliver will appear in the upcoming film Forever Hold Your Peace, which the Hollywood actor also produced, and shot his last scenes on December 20th.

The director of the Hollywood star’s latest movie, Nick Lyon, paid tribute to Oliver, posting a picture on their last day of shooting, saying: “We talked about producing a film together for years and finally did it! Thank you for being a great colleague, actor and friend.”

His co-star on the movie, Bai Ling, took to social media to mourn for Oliver, telling her audience that she wrote the post “with tears in [her] eyes.”

She said: “I just could not believe it is the truth. The last we worked together filming in Hollywood was December 20 2023, right before Christmas.

“I cried and cried, it was our first and last film together, I loved working with him so much. He was so nice, works so hard and was such a brave actor and a beautiful, gentle person. We played lovers in this film, just so so sad.

“And his daughters were so young. RIP dear Christian, may your soul rest in peace, sending love to your family.”

The Mail Online reported: “According to local reports, he arrived with his daughters in the Caribbean on December 26. Two days before his death, Oliver posted a photo showing a beach in a tropical setting with the caption: ‘Let love rule. Wishing all of you the best for 2024.'”

The article goes on to say that Oliver’s former wife, Jessica Muroz, previously worked as an LA-based showbiz reporter for German media and that online records show the Hollywood actor filed for divorce from his then wife in December 2021.

Following the release of the 2008 film Speed Racer in which Oliver played Snake Oiler, he spoke about being able to afford a Harley-Davidson and purchasing a 1972 Buick Centurion around the same time.
