Elon Musk Calls on the World to Make More Babies

Tech entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk called on the world to consider making more babies, warning that low birth rates pose a “danger” to civilization.

Musk, the richest man on the planet and a father to ten children made the comment on Monday during an interview ahead of an energy conference in Norway. He further noted that the world is facing a “baby crisis.”

When asked about the greatest challenges facing the world, Elon Musk mentioned the transition to renewable energies but also the birth rate as “one of [his] favorite…things to be concerned about.”

“We don’t want the population to drop so low that we’ll just eventually die [out],” he said. “At least make enough babies to sustain the population.”

Oil and gas are necessary in the "short term", says Elon Musk, if we want to avoid the "crumbling of civilisation".

Speaking at an event in Norway, he adds the world needs more babies or 'we will die with a whimper in adult diapers.

Statistics have consistently shown that many Western societies and now overpopulated countries such as China are facing declining birth rates and aging societies.

World civilization may die with a bang if we don’t have enough kids

Musk , the Tesla and SpaceX founder, emphasized in speaking to reporters in Stavanger in southwest Norway that civilization may die out with a bang if we do not have enough children.

“They say civilization might die with a bang or with a whimper,” added Musk. “If we don’t have enough kids, then we will die with a whimper in adult diapers. And that will be depressing.”

Musk has fathered ten children, one of whom died at ten weeks old, and he has reportedly been divorced three times.

Last autumn, Musk announced that he was “semi-separated” from musician Grimes with whom they have two children—a girl they named Exa Dark Siderael Musk, whom they plan to call Y, and a boy born in May 2020 called “X AE A-12,” or more simply, X.

Recently, it was revealed by American press that he also had twins in November with an executive at Neuralink, Musk’s brain-implant maker, a few weeks before the birth of Exa Dark Siderael Musk.

One of Musk’s children, who recently turned eighteen, filed a petition in a California court to change her name and gender identity to female earlier this year.

However, court documents said that she did not want “to be related to [her] biological father in any way, shape or form,” and this is also one of the reasons for the name change.
