Members of a drug cartel from North Macedonia, including the 21-year-old daughter of a politician from the country, were arrested on the Greek island of Mykonos.

According to Greek police, members of the cartel were selling drugs, such as cocaine and ecstasy on the island’s many hot clubs and bars.

Along with the 21-year-old blonde influencer, the head of the cartel, a 34-year-old from North Macedonia, another man from the same country, 35, and a Lebanese DJ, were all arrested.

The DJ, who lives in Athens but spends his summers on Mykonos, was arrested after police discovered that he allegedly purchased drugs from the North Macedonian drug cartel.

According to police in Mykonos, the drug dealers posed as concierges and other hotel staff in order to sell narcotics. After receiving information about the cartel, local police investigated the group for a while before gathering enough evidence to make arrests.

The head of the cartel was in charge of storing the drugs and profits while his “right hand man” and the 21-year-old influencer were in charge of scoping out potential customers.

When they were arrested, the members of the drug ring had an astounding 437 tablets of ecstasy, 220 grams of cocaine, 270 grams of meth, and 159 grams of cannabis.

The DJ was arrested with 3.7 grams of cocaine, which he insisted was purchased from the North Macedonian drug cartel, on his person. In many countries, this amount is considered to be just over the limit to be considered “personal use,” and someone arrested with such a quantity would likely be charged with intent to sell the drugs.

In Greece, however, drug penalties do not vary by quantity; however, the amount may be taken into consideration in court.

Local police are still searching for other members of the drug ring and are investigating any connections the cartel may have made on the island.
