Stefanos Tsitsipas Pranks Nick Kyrgios on Birthday

Greek-Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios became the victim of a hilarious online prank on his 25th birthday, after Greek superstar Stefanos Tsitsipas posted his phone number online.

The pair have become close friends on tour, with Kyrgios defending Tsitsipas after he found himself under intense scrutiny after a wild, angry outburst during Australia’s ATP clash against Greece in January.

However, Kyrgios may not be as quick to come to his defense again after being pranked on his 25th birthday by the world number six player.

As countless others wished Kyrgios well on his birthday, Tsitsipas took to Instagram with an image of himself holding up a cardboard sign captioned: “Lift others up,” with a phone number containing an Australian mobile phone number.

Eventually, fans caught on to the fact that it was actually Kyrgios’ phone number, with the Australian commenting “You are an absolute idiot, everyone stop calling me!!!!!” on Tsitsipas’ post.

The wave of phone calls quickly became too much for the 25-year-old, who was forced to tell fans on his page to stop calling him.

“What’s up guys, I understand it’s my 25th birthday, but please I understand that Tsitsipas posted my number on his Instagram,” he said on his Instagram story.

“Please stop calling me, I can’t even play music, can’t do anything,

“Please stop calling my cell phone!”
