The oldest person in Greece to be treated after having contracted the COVID-19 coronavirus is 101 years of age, according to an epidemiological report published on Monday by the Hellenic National Public Health Organization (EODY).
The EODY report revealed a wide range of interesting statistical data about the spread of the disease in Greece.
Just over half, or 54.9 percent, of all those diagnosed with the virus were male.
Additionally, the EODY announced that 76.9 per cent of those 93 individuals who are currently in serious condition are also male.
Regarding coronavirus breakdowns by age, EODY stated that the oldest patient to be hospitalized in Greece is a man who is 101 years of age, while the youngest is a one-year-old child.
It is noted that the Greek death toll from the coronavirus rose to 79 on Monday after six more patients passed away.
The first three patients who succumbed to the disease on Monday were an 82-year-old man being treated at a Patra hospital, a 72-year-old in Alexandroupoli and a 78-year-old in Thessaloniki.
