Jennifer Aniston Got on Instagram and Broke the Internet

Jennifer Aniston finally created an Instagram account and “broke” the Internet with her first photo, a snapshot of her and her former “Friends” co-stars all hanging out together.

For years, her friends online, especially her “Friends” co-star Courteney Cox,ย who jokingly complained she couldn’t tag Jennifer in pictures of the two uploaded on Cox’s Instagram, urged Jennifer to create her own account.

It seems that Aniston finally decided to take the plunge, and within the first 24 hours of her post, she unsurprisingly amassed millions of followers.

This actually resulted in some sort of breakdown in the Instagram system. A slew of people went online to complain that they were trying to follow Aniston’s account (@jenniferaniston) and Instagram wouldn’t let them do so.

Aniston’s very next post referenced this issue. Her caption read, “I swear I didn’t meant to break it…Thank you guys for the kind, glitchy welcome.”

As of today, October 21, just six days after Aniston’s original post, her first photo has amassed over 14 million likes, and her account now has 15.4 million followers.

Aniston seems focused on uploading candid moments and funny observations about her life in the spotlight, which are sure to endear her even further to her already enormous fanbase.
