Kostas Mitroglou, a striker for Turkish football club Galatasaray, celebrated winning the Turkish League championship by unfolding a Greek flag on Sunday at Istanbul’s Türk Telekom Stadium.
Galatasaray clinched their 22nd title with one game to spare after their victory over city rivals Basaksehir with a score of 2-1.
The 31-year-old Greek player, on loan from the French team in Marseille, held up his flag to a round of applause by thousands of Galatasaray fans which filled the stadium.
His wife and son joined the Greek international player on the pitch to celebrate along with all the players of the Turkish club.
