George Kambosos Jr. beat the Filipino Ray Perez in a bout at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
The Greek-Australian professional boxer won the eight-round, 135-pound fight against Perez. All three judges, Patricia Morse Jarman, Tim Cheatham and Ricardo Ocasio, scored each of the eight rounds for Kambosos, with an amazing total score of 80-72 on all of scorecards.
In his overall performance, Perez couldn’t find his pace to fend off the well-prepared, accurate and active Kambosos.
The Greek-Australian boxer managed to land numerous right uppercuts and straight right punches, securing his victory.
Kambosos, who is also known as ”Ferocious”, fights in the lightweight division and he is currently the WBA Oceania and IBF Pan-Pacific lightweight champion.
