Kelly Clarkson took part in the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year by singing one of her new songs, “Heat”.
On one of the coldest days of the year, Clarkson brought passion and fire to her rendition of the song from her latest album, “Meaning of Life”.
The “American Idol” winner and judge on “The Voice” went the extra mile for her performance. Most singers in the parade are forced to lip sync on the floats because of limitations on the sound requirements for a live performance.
However, Kelly decided to go all out, getting up on a stage with a back-up band and singing her entire performance live in the sub-freezing temperatures.
Fans were obviously thrilled with her decision. One fan even tweeted, “Bless Kelly Clarkson for singing live in 19-degree weather at 9:30 in the morning when literally no one ever sings live at this thing”.
