Greek Government Cash Balance Shows 4.4-bln-Euro Deficit in 2017

The central government cash balance recorded a deficit of 4,434 million euros in 2017, from a deficit of 3,569 million euros in the previous year, the Bank of Greece said in a report released on Thursday.
During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to 48,415 million euros, compared to 48,941 million euros in the corresponding period of last year.
Ordinary budget expenditure; including expenditure of about 2,124 million euros for the repayment of arrears (compared to 3,850 million euros last year), amounted to 53,128 million euros, from 51,143 million euros in January-December 2016.
