The European Commission is not yet fully briefed about the recent Archaeological Council decision concerning the Hellenikon investment status, but reminds the government that the project is an MOU agreed-upon precondition.
The Commission will examine the decision reached by Greece’s Central Archaeological Council (KAS) about former Helleniko airport on Thursday, a EU Commission spokesperson said.
“The Greek authorities have pledged, in the framework of the memorandum, to take the necessary measures to promote the restructuring of the Helleniko site, which constitutes a key investment plan for job creation and growth,” the spokesperson added.
