Warning sirens went off in tests throughout Greece on Tuesday, October 3, as part of the nationwide civil defence exercise “Parmenion“.
The sirens sounded intermittently and at differing sound levels for 60 seconds at 11.00 am local time, until 11:05 am, when an uninterrupted siren sounded for another 60 seconds.
Greek authorities had forewarned the public on the impending exercise.
