Greece’s Deaf Women’s Basketball team celebrated a gold medal win on Saturday at the Deaflympics taking place in Turkey.
In the final of the tournament, Greece beat Lithuania 67-50.
At the end of the third quarter there was only a point separating the two teams (39-38). However, in the final quarter Greece forged ahead with an impressive display clinching the Gold medal.
The team of coach Athena Zervas, climbed to the top of the world just one year after winning the gold medal at the EuroBasket tournament in Thessaloniki.
