Airline safety news made international headlines recently when the US, and later the UK, banned several Gulf-operated airlines flying in from particular Middle Eastern destinations from allowing laptops on board.
Among the airlines that had to agree to the laptop ban or risk having their landing privileges taken away in the US were Emirates, Egyptair, Turkish, Kuwait Airways, Royal Air Morocco, Qatar Airways, Etihad, Royal Jordanian and Saudi Airlines.
Emirates decided to respond to the laptop ban with a new advertisement featuring their spokesman, Jennifer Aniston, that shows how the airline offers so many entertainment options, you won’t even need a laptop!
In the ad, called “Let Us Entertain You”, Aniston is shown in an Emirates airline cabin browsing through more than 2,500 channels of movies, TV and music.
For those wondering how Emirates managed to roll out this new advertisement so quickly, the footage used was actually taken from a commercial Aniston did for Emirates in 2016, showcasing the airline’s world-class service and luxury accommodations. Watch the full commercial in the YouTube clip above!
