November 17 Mastermind: There are 8 Members of Terrorist Group Still At Large

giwtopoulos-thumb-largeThe November 17 terrorist group mastermind, Alexandros Giotopoulos, sent a letter to Ethnos newspaper claiming there are eight group members who are still at large.
Fourteen years after terrorist group November 17 was dismantled by Hellenic Police and the National Intelligence Service, the organization chief speaks of eight group members who are still on the loose and have been involved in fatal attacks.
Giotopoulos claims that in the November 17 hideout in Athens where the core members of the group were arrested, there was a handgun that incriminates a specific person. For reasons unknown to him, he says, police never mentioned that weapon and kept the finding secret.
In his long letter, the group’s mastermind asks: “Who made that gun disappear? The secret services? One of those arrested who cooperated with the authorities?”
Along with the gun, Giotopoulos writes, in the apartment that was raided by police there were important manuscripts that were never mentioned by the authorities. Someone made those manuscripts disappear, he says.
Furthermore, Giotopoulos claims that there were depositions by those arrested that incriminate the particular person who used the handgun and two of his friends. “Who instructed authorities to ignore those depositions and put them on file?” he wonders in the letter. The three persons who were never incriminated because evidence was hidden are linked to the other five. From that group of at least eight people, some had direct involvement in homicide and others violent acts causing serious injuries, Giotopoulos says, and wonders why the three members who could have been arrested then, remain at large.
