Two migrants missing at sea since Thursday morning some six miles north of the Aegean island of Samos were rescued by a Super Puma helicopter in the evening.
One of the migrants was well in his health but the other was unconscious and had to be transferred to the island’s hospital.
The search began after authorities found a plastic dinghy carrying some 40 migrants, who reported that two more had jumped out of the dinghy in an attempt to swim to shore.
